Apple stock downgraded by Loop Capital due to supply concerns

Loop Capital analyst Ananda Baruah has downgraded Apple stock from ‘buy’ to ‘hold,’ citing potential supply chain issues. The downgrade is driven by a projected shortage of memory chips and processors, which could lead to approximately 13 million fewer iPhone shipments in the second half of 2026 than previously expected.

According to supply chain information, Apple reportedly no longer plans to compensate for these lost shipments in 2027. Consequently, Loop Capital has lowered its price target for Apple from $370 to $330. The firm’s projections for iPhone sales and average selling prices for 2026 and 2027 are also more conservative than the Wall Street consensus.
