Apple TV acquires global rights to BBC series ‘Small Prophets’

Apple TV is shifting its content strategy by acquiring the global distribution rights to the successful BBC series ‘Small Prophets’. Previously, the streaming service has relied almost exclusively on original productions or commissioned formats.

Written, directed, and partially starring Mackenzie Crook, the series follows a man whose life is disrupted when his father leaves him instructions for creating homunculi—tiny oracle beings in glass containers capable of predicting future events. The acquisition was facilitated through the distribution partner Sphere Abacus.
