Apple TV releases trailer for Australian thriller Last Seen

Apple TV has released the trailer for “Last Seen,” a new Australian thriller series scheduled for a global premiere on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. The series will debut with two episodes, followed by weekly releases through October 7, 2026.

Set and filmed entirely in Victoria, Australia, the drama is an adaptation of Ryan David Jahn’s award-winning novel “The Dispatcher.” The plot follows Ian Ridley, a former police detective turned emergency dispatcher, whose life was upended 11 years ago when his daughter, Maggie, disappeared. The story is reignited when Ridley receives a distress call from a teenage girl whom he believes is his long-lost daughter.

The production features a cast including Patrick Brammall, Maxine Peake, Brendan Cowell, Daniel Henshall, Zahra Newman, Jessica Wren, Tobias Muhafidin, and newcomer Chloe Jean Lourdes. The series is directed and executive produced by Christian Schwochow and adapted by Kris Mrksa. Production is handled by 60Forty Films in partnership with Werner Film Productions.
