Apple TV+ announces major lineup of original films and series

Apple TV+ has announced an extensive lineup of original content scheduled through the end of 2025 and into 2026. A major highlight for September is the release of the action-comedy film ‘Mayday’, starring Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh. Directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, the film is set during the Cold War and follows an unlikely alliance between a US Navy pilot and a former KGB agent.

Other notable September releases include the suspense drama ‘Missing Girl’, debuting September 9, the sixth season of the spy thriller ‘Slow Horses’ on September 16, and the comedy ‘Brothers’ on September 23, featuring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson playing versions of themselves.

The platform's upcoming slate also includes various documentaries and series such as ‘The Last Great Climb: K2 in Winter’, ‘Matchbox: The Movie’, and the second seasons of ‘The Grimm Sisters’ and ‘Sticks’. The service continues to expand its diverse genre offerings, ranging from high-stakes thrillers to biographical documentaries.
