Apple TV+ comedy series ‘Small Prophets’ receives critical acclaim

The comedy series ‘Small Prophets’ (Malutkie cuda), created by Mackenzie Crook, has achieved a 100 percent critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes following its international release on Apple TV+. Originally produced for the BBC, the seven-episode series follows the eccentric Michael Sleepie, played by Pearce Quigley, as he attempts to use an alchemical recipe involving rainwater and horse manure to create magical spirits known as homunculi.

Driven by the hope of finding his missing partner, Clea, Michael is aided by his colleague Kacey. The series features a prominent British cast, including Michael Palin, Mackenzie Crook, Lauren Patel, and Sophie Willan. The production also utilizes stop-motion animation to bring the magical creatures to life. At the Series Mania festival in Lille, the show was awarded Best Series in the International Panorama category.
