Apple TV expands cast for ‘Protective Custody’ comedy

Apple TV is expanding the cast of its upcoming comedy series, ‘Protective Custody’. Five new actors—Pej Vahdat, Shawntay Dalon, Isaac Stephen Montgomery, Judd Goodstein, and Andrew Mayer—have joined the production in recurring roles.

Led by Ben Stiller and Benicio Del Toro, who also serve as executive producers, the series follows a disgraced financier accused of massive fraud. While in protective custody awaiting trial, the protagonist must navigate prison politics and attempt to salvage his reputation.

The show is co-written, co-showrun, and executive produced by Mike Judge, Steve Hely, and Dave King, with Judge also directing. The recurring cast includes Janeane Garofalo, Amy Sedaris, Samson Kayo, and Sonny Valicenti. Specific details regarding the new cast members' characters have not yet been disclosed.
