Apple TV hardware faces compatibility limits with tvOS 27

Apple is preparing to launch tvOS 27, a software update that integrates Apple Intelligence and an enhanced Siri AI into the Apple TV ecosystem. The new operating system aims to transform the device into a more contextual assistant capable of understanding complex user requests and on-screen content.

However, the update will mark a significant hardware lifecycle shift. According to Apple's compatibility documentation, the Apple TV HD and the first-generation Apple TV 4K will not support tvOS 27.
