Apple TV rolls out new episodes of 'Trying', 'Lucky' and concludes 'Prazer Máximo Garantido

Apple TV released the second episode of the fifth season of the comedy series Trying on 15 July. The episode, titled “First Day,” shows Nikki (Esther Smith) and Jason (Rafe Spall) confronting the sudden arrival of Kat, the children’s biological mother. The series, produced by BBC Studios, holds a 96 % Rotten Tomatoes approval rating.

The same day the Crime‑thriller Lucky premiered on Apple TV. Starring Anya Taylor‑Joy as a con‑artist on the run from the FBI and a crime boss, the seven‑episode series also features Timothy Olyphant and Annette Bening. Early reviews gave it an 82 % critic score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Apple TV also wrapped the first season of Prazer Máximo Garantido, a thriller starring Tatiana Maslany as Paula Sanders, which concluded on 15 July and received a 93 % Rotten Tomatoes rating. The series was praised for its “thrilling and utterly addictive” storytelling.
