Apple TV+ released the action‑thriller miniseries “Lucky” on July 15, adapting Marissa Stapley’s 2021 novel. The six‑episode series follows Lucky Armstrong, a charismatic con artist who flees after a multimillion‑dollar heist goes wrong. Pursued by the FBI and a ruthless crime boss, Priscilla (Annette Bening), Lucky must evade capture with the help of her imprisoned father John (Timothy Olyphant) and a vanished boyfriend, Cary.

Anya Taylor‑Joy stars as Lucky and serves as an executive producer after being approached by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine production company. She described the role as exploring “confidence artists” and the audience’s willingness to believe persuasive lies.
