Apple TV+ leads 2026 Emmy nominations as actors earn multiple nods
Apple TV+ received a strong showing at the 2026 Primetime Emmy Awards, earning nominations across drama, comedy, thriller and mystery categories. The platform’s flagship series *Severance* was highlighted with nods for Outstanding Drama Series, acting, writing and directing, while comedies such as *The Studio* and other originals including *Shrinking*, *Slow Horses*, *Presumed Innocent* and *Bad Sisters* also secured spots.
Several performers earned multiple nominations. Matthew Rhys was nominated in two lead‑acting categories for his roles in Netflix’s *Widow’s Bay* and Apple TV+’s *The Beast In Me*, a feat not achieved since 1995. Jason Bateman garnered three nominations – two acting nods for *Black Rabbit* and *DTF St. Louis* and a directing nod for the latter. Other actors with double nominations included Laurie Metcalf, Nick Offerman, Colman Domingo and Noah Wyle, each recognized for work on various streaming and network projects.
