Apple TV+ has released the second season of the crime dramaLas Azules” (Women in Blue), which premiered globally on August 12, 2026. Set in 1971 Mexico during the administration of Luis Echeverría, the new season follows the protagonists as they navigate a complex political landscape marked by the social wounds of the 1968 Tlatelolco massacre and the Halconazo. The plot intensifies as the female police officers face corruption within their own department while investigating the discovery of a student activist's body and connections to historical violence.

Producer and showrunner Fernando Rovzar noted that the season explores the consequences of systemic failures and the difficulty of seeking justice in a corrupt environment. The series will release one episode weekly through September 30, 2026.
