Apple TV Records Emmy Nominations, Unveils Snoopy Special and Crime Thriller

Apple TV achieved a record 89 Primetime Emmy nominations for the 78th ceremony, surpassing its previous high. The most‑nominated shows were Widow’s Bay with 19 nods and the drama Pluribus with 18, while established series such as Shrinking, Slow Horses and a documentary on Mr. Scorsese also earned multiple nominations.

The platform announced the animated special Snoopy Presents: There’s No Place Like Home, set to debut worldwide on 31 July 2026. The Peanuts‑inspired film follows Charlie Brown’s quest to recover Snoopy’s home, featuring original music by Allen Stone.

Apple TV also revealed its ten‑episode crime thriller Nocturne, premiering 30 October 2026. Starring Liev Schreiber, Zazie Beetz and Stephen Graham, the series follows former soldier‑detective Jonah Lynn as he confronts serial killer Jurek Walter in rural Pennsylvania, with FBI agent Sagu Bauer joining the hunt. Additional upcoming titles include the ordered crime series Guilty Creatures.
