Apple TV releases teaser for upcoming 'Neuromancer' series
Apple TV has unveiled the first artwork and a 22‑second teaser for its upcoming adaptation of William Gibson’s 1984 novel Neuromancer. The clip shows a television being switched on, the words “ASHPOOL 1” on a dark screen, and the novel’s opening line about a sky the colour of a dead channel, setting a grimy, high‑tech tone.
The ten‑episode series stars Callum Turner as hacker Case and Briana Middleton as assassin Molly, with supporting roles for Joseph Lee, Mark Strong, Peter Sarsgaard, Emma Laird and others. Created by Graham Roland (showrunner) and J. D. Dillard (director of the pilot), production began in January of last year and was filmed on location in Tokyo. After a development shift following Paramount’s acquisition of Skydance, the series remains under the Apple TV banner and is slated for release later this year.
