Apple TV+ to premiere Australian thriller series Last Seen
Apple TV+ is set to release the Australian psychological thriller series ‘Last Seen’ on September 9, 2026. Directed by Christian Schwochow, the six-episode series is an adaptation of Ryan David Jahn’s novel ‘The Dispatcher’.
The story follows Ian Ridley (Patrick Brammall), a former police detective turned emergency dispatcher, who has spent eleven years searching for his daughter, Maggie, after her disappearance. His life is upended when he receives a distress call from a teenage girl whom he believes is his long-lost daughter.
The ensemble cast includes Maxine Peake, Brendan Cowell, Daniel Henshall, Zahra Newman, and Jessica Wren. The series is set against the backdrop of a fictional coastal town called Port McKenna and is scheduled to release its first two episodes at launch, with new episodes streaming on Wednesdays through October 7.
