Apple's 20th‑anniversary iPhone to debut a full‑glass curved design in 2027

Apple is preparing a special iPhone to mark the 20th anniversary of the product line, expected to launch in autumn 2027. The device is slated to undergo the most extensive redesign since the 2017 iPhone X, featuring an all‑glass body with a display that curves down on all four edges and ultra‑thin bezels of about 1.1 mm. Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman described the prototype as “a notch‑less curved iPhone.”

Rumors indicate the phone will be offered in two sizes, roughly 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, and may use a titanium‑alloy frame to replace the aluminium unibody of recent Pro models. Under‑display Face ID and a front‑camera system are expected, though some reports suggest the technology may not be ready for the 2027 launch. Apple is also said to be introducing solid‑state haptic buttons, a second‑generation 2 nm “A21” processor, high‑bandwidth memory, a custom silicon baseband, and a pure‑silicon battery that could boost capacity.

The anniversary model is part of a broader autumn rollout that could also include a refreshed Apple TV, a new MacBook with a touch screen, and an updated HomePod mini, but the iPhone 20 remains the headline of the upcoming Apple product wave.
