Apple updates Creator Studio and Final Cut Camera for iPhone 18 Pro

Apple has released major updates to its Creator Studio suite and the Final Cut Camera app, specifically targeting the new iPhone 18 Pro. The primary technical highlight is support for the iPhone 18 Pro’s new 48MP Fusion main camera, which features a physical variable aperture ranging from f/1.48 to f/4.0.

Final Cut Camera version 2.4 allows filmmakers to utilize aperture priority, shutter priority, and manual modes to control depth of field and light exposure. The update also introduces professional tools such as customizable overlays (false color and clipping indicators), improved focus peaking, a tally light, and support for professional video scopes like RGB parade and histograms. For broadcast-quality workflows, the app now supports clean SDI output via HDMI-to-SDI converters and genlock offset.

Additionally, the Apple Creator Studio update enhances productivity and creative apps. Final Cut Pro and Motion on Mac can now apply Cinematic mode effects to footage captured on the iPhone 18 Pro, allowing editors to adjust focus points and depth of field during post-production. Pixelmator Pro on iPad has gained advanced Select and Mask tools, while iWork apps like Keynote, Pages, and Numbers have received new professional templates and improved collaboration features.
