Apple warns iPhone users about heat risks and hints at upcoming price hikes

Apple issued a safety advisory urging iPhone and iPad owners to avoid exposing their devices to extreme heat, such as leaving them in a parked car. The company states that iPhones and iPads are designed to operate between 0 °C and 35 °C, with a storage range of –20 °C to 45 °C, and that temperatures above these limits can impair performance and shorten battery life. When internal temperature exceeds safe limits, Apple’s protection system may slow charging, dim the display, reduce performance or temporarily disable features.

Analysts also report that Apple is likely to raise iPhone prices soon, following recent global price increases for its Mac and iPad lines. The price adjustments are attributed to rising component costs, especially memory chips. Leaks suggest that the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro could launch at a higher starting price, and that other product categories such as Apple Watch and AirPods may see similar hikes. Consumers are advised to factor these potential cost increases into future purchase plans.
