Apple's MacBook Neo 2 slated for early 2027 with A19 Pro chip and 12 GB RAM

Apple is preparing a second‑generation MacBook Neo, expected to launch in early 2027. The new notebook will be powered by a binned A19 Pro processor that uses a five‑core GPU, promising 10‑15 % faster CPU performance and up to 40 % higher graphics throughput compared with the A18 Pro used in the first model. Unified memory will rise from 8 GB to 12 GB, a capacity required to run Apple Intelligence features locally without cloud reliance. The external design will stay largely unchanged, retaining the compact aluminium unibody, while new colour options such as Rose, Citrus and Indigo are planned. Pricing is projected in the high‑single‑digit‑hundreds, with reports of a US launch price around $699–$799. Apple is also positioning the Neo line for an annual upgrade cadence, and third‑party maker Satechi has already announced accessories – USB‑C hubs and a Bluetooth mouse – tailored to the Neo 2’s ports and colour schemes.
