Apple's MacBook Ultra rumored to feature OLED touchscreen and M5 chips

Apple is reportedly developing a high‑end laptop that could be called the MacBook Ultra, expected to be the first Mac with an OLED touchscreen. The device would be offered in 14‑inch and 16‑inch sizes and may include a Dynamic Island interface, Face ID and a reinforced hinge for touch use.

According to the leaks, the initial MacBook Ultra models will launch with the existing M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, while later versions could adopt higher‑end M7 Pro and M7 Max processors. The launch is anticipated for early 2027, with production possibly starting in late 2026. Pricing is expected to be significantly higher than current MacBook Pro models, potentially exceeding $3,000.
