Apple's macOS 27 adds Voice Pad for Siri voice customization

Apple’s upcoming macOS 27 “Golden Gate” includes a hidden “Voice Pad” menu that lets users modify Siri’s voice in real time. By moving the mouse over the pad, parameters such as pitch, age, gender and timbre change, while the background color shifts in sync. The interface is built for 44 languages, but Siri AI and the voice‑customisation feature are currently available only in English.

Activating Voice Pad requires disabling System Integrity Protection and overwriting system code, a process that carries a risk of serious system damage and is therefore not recommended for inexperienced users. The feature was first demonstrated in a video shared on a MacRumors forum, and Apple is expected to release the final macOS 27 to the public in September or October.
