Apple's Tap to Pay iPhone expands digital payments in Brazil

Apple has introduced the Tap to Pay feature for iPhone models in Brazil, allowing merchants to turn their smartphones into payment terminals. Using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, the iPhone can securely read credit, debit, or other NFC‑enabled cards and devices, completing transactions within seconds without the need for separate hardware.

The solution aims to broaden financial inclusion by enabling small businesses and individual sellers across the country to accept digital payments easily, with end‑to‑end encryption and a secure element to protect card data.
