Appleton, Wisconsin Ends Use of Flock Surveillance Cameras

The City of Appleton, Wisconsin announced that it will discontinue the Flock camera surveillance system. Mayor Jake Woodford said the decision follows community feedback and concerns about privacy and the system’s integrity. Flock cameras were first introduced as a pilot in 2022 and expanded city‑wide in 2023. The cameras will now be phased out.
