Applied Materials draws new institutional stakes totaling over $28 million

Capital International Sarl increased its Applied Materials (NASDAQ:AMAT) holding by 11,427 shares in the fourth quarter, bringing its stake to 29,160 shares worth about $7.5 million. ING Groep NV purchased a fresh position of 80,730 shares, valued at roughly $20.8 million. The filings also note several other investors adjusting their holdings, including Highline Wealth Partners, Dogwood Wealth Management and IMG Wealth Management, all together contributing to institutional owners controlling about 80.6% of the company’s stock.

Insider activity continued during the period. Prabu G. Raja sold 50,000 shares at an average price of $505.28, a transaction worth $25.26 million, reducing his ownership by about 12.3%. Other insiders, such as Director Judy Brunersold and CAO Adam Sanders, also sold shares, bringing total insider sales for the quarter to nearly $27 million. Corporate insiders now hold roughly 0.3% of Applied Materials.

Applied Materials reported fourth‑quarter earnings of $2.86 per share on revenue of $7.91 billion, beating expectations. The company’s market cap stands at about $360 billion, with analysts maintaining a consensus “Buy” rating.
