AppLovin faces securities fraud lawsuit over AI and advertising claims
AppLovin Corporation is facing a proposed securities fraud class action lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. The case, Talbot v. AppLovin Corporation, names CEO Adam Foroughi and CFO Matthew Stumpf as defendants.
The lawsuit alleges that the company made material misstatements or omissions regarding the performance of its AI models and the readiness of its self-service video advertising tool. Specifically, the complaint claims AppLovin overstated the consistency of AI model improvements and the reliability of the value they provided, while also alleging significant development delays for its video creative tool.
The proposed class period covers investors who acquired AppLovin securities between February 12, 2026, and August 5, 2026. Investors seeking lead plaintiff status have until November 16, 2026, to file. These allegations have not been established in court.
