AppLovin stock declines amid market share concerns

AppLovin shares experienced a 4% decline following a cautionary research note from Edgewater Research. Analyst Joe Wittine suggested that the adtech company may be struggling to expand its market share and could face increasing pressure from competitors, specifically naming Unity as a threat.

Wittine lowered his revenue growth expectations for AppLovin’s fourth quarter to between 8% and 9%, a figure notably below the current analyst consensus. This represents a significant shift in sentiment from June, when the analyst had upgraded the stock to outperform.

Technical analysis indicates AppLovin’s stock remains fragile. Over the past year, the company's share price has fallen by 52%, currently trading significantly below its 52-week high. Analysts note that if the stock falls below the $300 support level, it could potentially move toward $200.
