APPSC announces 163 Group 1 vacancies for state administration

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has announced 163 provisional vacancies for Group 1 Services. The recruitment covers 13 different post categories, including Deputy Collectors, Assistant Commissioners of State Tax, Deputy Superintendents of Police, District Educational Officers, and Divisional Development Officers.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (Civil) Category-II has the highest number of vacancies with 36, followed by Divisional Development Officers with 35. Most positions require a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, though the DSP (Communications) role specifically requires a B.E. or B.Tech in fields such as Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Telecommunication, or Radio Engineering.

Online applications are scheduled to be accepted from October 6, 2026, through October 27, 2026. The selection process will consist of a screening test, a mains written examination, and an interview.
