Apptronik launches Austin Robot Park to train humanoid robots

Apptronik opened a nearly 90,000‑square‑foot training facility in Austin, Texas, called Robot Park. The hub is designed to collect real‑world data by running hundreds of its Apollo 2 humanoid robots on logistics, manufacturing and retail tasks across a warehouse the size of two football fields. The company says the data will help move its robots from pilot projects to commercial deployment, with production versions targeted for 2027.

Robot Park will also serve as a data source for Google DeepMind, an investor and research partner. The collected observations are fed into Gemini Robotics, DeepMind’s AI model for robot reasoning and planning. Apptronik recently raised $520 million in a Series A extension, valuing the company at about $5 billion, to support the expansion of its training sites and pilot deployments.
