AppZapper utility rebrands as AppZapper 3000

The long-standing Mac utility AppZapper has been revamped and renamed AppZapper 3000 to mark its 20th anniversary. The tool is designed to cleanly remove applications and their associated files by allowing users to drag and drop an app into the interface and select the ‘Zap All’ button. This process includes a signature laser gun animation and sound effect.

Developer Austin Sarner stated that the updated version is tailored to meet the latest macOS security requirements and features improved capabilities for locating related application files. To function, the software requires Full Disk Access permission.

The application requires macOS 15 or later. It is available as a free trial, with full licenses priced at $18 for a single user or $29 for a family pack covering up to five Macs. A promotional discount is available through September 21 using the code MACRUMORS.
