APR demonstrates hair loss treatment potential using RF Microporation technology

APR has scientifically demonstrated the potential for its beauty device technology to assist in hair loss treatment. A study published in the international journal Pharmaceutics highlights the effectiveness of RF Microporation, a technology used in the company’s Medicube Age-R Booster Pro X2, in enhancing the absorption of topical treatments.

In animal models of androgenetic alopecia, the application of RF Microporation alongside minoxidil increased the amount of the drug delivered to the epidermis and dermis by up to 2.4 times compared to topical application alone. The research also showed significant improvements in hair coverage, length, and thickness.

The technology works by using controlled radiofrequency energy to create temporary micro-channels in the scalp's stratum corneum, allowing active ingredients to penetrate more efficiently. APR plans to expand this platform technology to improve the delivery of various scalp and hair health ingredients and intends to conduct further clinical studies to verify safety and efficacy for human use.
