Apraava Energy acquires Maharashtra transmission project for 3 GW power evacuation
Apraava Energy has acquired Raigad Power Transmission Limited, a special purpose vehicle, to develop an intrastate transmission project in the Pune and Raigad districts of Maharashtra. The project is designed to enhance grid stability and facilitate the evacuation of approximately 3 GW of power from potential pumped storage plants (PSPs) in the Raigad district.
The project will be developed under the Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) model with a 35-year concession period. It involves the construction of roughly 400 km of transmission lines, including 340 km of 765 kV lines, and a 4,500 MVA pooling station. The development is expected to be completed within 24 months of signing the Transmission Service Agreement.
