Aprica and Trieste host sustainability and wildlife events
Aprica is launching a series of four showcooking events in the Gulf of Tigullio starting September 15. These sessions aim to combat food waste, promote the conscious use of resources, and encourage proper waste sorting. The events will take place in Moneglia and Portofino on September 15, followed by Rapallo and Santa Margherita Ligure on September 16.
In Trieste, the region is seeing an influx of wildlife due to the autumn migration season. The Val Rosandra Nature Reserve has recorded more than 130 bird species, including migratory raptors like the sparrowhawk and the Eurasian hobby. Additionally, the shallow waters of the Gulf of Trieste serve as a vital feeding ground for young Caretta caretta sea turtles, which migrate from the eastern Mediterranean.
