Aprilia 2020 RS‑GP MotoGP bike to be auctioned for up to €300,000

The 2020 Aprilia RS‑GP MotoGP prototype ridden by rider‑developer Aleix Espargaró is being put up for sale. The bike, which featured a new 90‑degree V4 engine that sparked Aprilia’s recent competitive rise, will be auctioned on 15 November at the NEC in Birmingham as part of the Iconic Classic Motor Show. Organised by Iconic Auctioneers, the lot includes the complete 2020‑season leathers, gloves, boots and helmet, and is estimated to fetch between £200,000 and £300,000 (roughly €260,000‑€390,000). Earlier, the same machine was listed by UK dealer 3D Moto Limited for about €293,000, highlighting its rarity as a factory‑team prototype rarely leaving manufacturer custody. The sale offers collectors a tangible piece of MotoGP history that underpinned Aprilia’s breakthrough podium in 2021 and first win in 2022.
