Aprilia horse center owner reported for illegal landfill

Authorities in Aprilia have seized a 2,000-square-meter area within a horse training center following the discovery of an illegal landfill. The Carabinieri Forestali di Cisterna uncovered the site after a fire destroyed a thick layer of brushwood, revealing buried and scattered waste.

The illegal disposal included hazardous and non-hazardous materials, such as electronic waste (RAEE), demolition debris, plastics, metal, and wood. Investigators found that mechanical equipment had been used to level and bury the waste to fill a depression in the terrain. The owner of the facility has been reported to the judicial authorities for illegal waste management and operating an unauthorized landfill.
