Aprilia residents challenge expanded blue‑zone parking fees in court

Citizens of Aprilia have lodged an appeal with the Regional Administrative Court (TAR) against the municipal decision that extended paid blue‑zone parking areas and raised the associated fees. The lawsuit, filed on behalf of local residents, is backed by the Progressive Coalition – a grouping that includes Aprilia Domani, Progetto Civico Italia, Europa Verde, Italia Viva, Movimento 5 Stelle and the Democratic Party.

The coalition argues that the measure suffers from procedural flaws, imposes a significant cost burden on families, businesses, commuters and students, and was adopted without adequate planning. The appeal seeks to annul the council resolution, citing concerns over public interest and administrative soundness.

The filing follows a series of public meetings and consultations that gathered input from a broad cross‑section of the community, which the coalition says demonstrates widespread local opposition to the parking policy.
