Aprilia sweeps Le Mans MotoGP podium with Martin sprint win and Bezzecchi race victory

Aprilia leads the MotoGP constructors championship while its factory riders Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi are locked in a tight battle for the riders' title. Team manager Massimo Rivola’s earlier “Black Rules” strategy to balance the two riders may be dropped as the team leans toward backing Martin to counter the resurgence of eight‑time champion Marc Marquez.

At the Le Mans round, Martin won the sprint race and Bezzecchi captured the Sunday race, delivering an Aprilia 1‑2‑3 finish with Ai Ogura third. Ducati’s Pecco Bagnaia finished second in the sprint. Marquez suffered a high‑side crash, broke a foot and required shoulder surgery, causing him to miss the Le Mans event and at least one further round. The championship gap between Martin and Bezzecchi is now one point, with Bezzecchi holding a slight edge heading into the next round at Catalunya.
