APS Zakynthos to occupy City Hall over stadium neglect

The management of the football club APS Zakynthos has announced plans to peacefully occupy the Zakynthos City Hall following an emergency meeting at the Municipal Stadium. The action follows the issuance of a formal protest resolution regarding the severe neglect of local sports infrastructure.

According to the club, the Municipal Stadium, the historic home of APS Zakynthos, lacks the necessary conditions and licensing to host matches at the required level. The club reports that delayed projects and administrative indifference have left the team without a home ground and unable to conduct regular training due to the destroyed state of the playing field.

Supporters, former players, and local citizens expressed outrage over what they described as chronic omissions by both current and previous municipal authorities. In addition to the planned occupation of the City Hall, the sports community intends to maintain a massive presence at the next Municipal Council meeting.
