APT Pranoto Airport conducts emergency preparedness simulations

The Indonesian Ministry of Transportation conducted emergency preparedness simulations at Aji Pangeran Tumenggung (APT) Pranoto Airport in Samarinda, East Kalimantan. The training included a Full Scale Airport Emergency Exercise (AEE) and an Airport Contingency Exercise (ACE).

The AEE was led by the Flight Accident Rescue and Firefighting (PKP-PK) unit and the Airport Emergency Management Committee. This was followed by the ACE, directed by the Aviation Security (Avsec) unit and the Airport Security Committee.

According to I Kadek Yuli Sastrawan, head of the APT Pranoto Airport Unit Management Office, the exercises were designed to test personnel readiness, equipment effectiveness, and the speed and coordination of emergency response procedures to ensure they meet established operational standards.
