Apucarana authorities collect candy donations for Children's Day

The Municipal Secretariat of Security, Transport, Traffic, Urban Mobility and Civil Defense (Segtran) in Apucarana is organizing a donation campaign for candy, chocolates, and other sweets. The initiative, led by the Municipal Civil Guard (GCM) and the Municipal Traffic Department, aims to distribute these treats to local children on October 12 for Children's Day.

According to GCM Commander Fábio de Souza, this is an annual tradition; while last year focused on toys, this year's effort centers on sweets. On the day of the event, officers will use patrol vehicles to deliver the donations, a practice described as ‘patrulhamento do bem’ (good patrolling). Segtran Secretary Almir Antonio de Freitas noted that the action serves to strengthen the bond between security agents and the community.

Citizens can contribute by delivering donations to the GCM headquarters located at Rua Jamil Soni, nº 241, in the 28 de Janeiro neighborhood.
