Apucarana pilgrims complete 150 km walk to Saint Michael Sanctuary

A group of eight pilgrims from Apucarana completed a 150-kilometer walk to the Saint Michael the Archangel Sanctuary in Bandeirantes, Paraná. The journey took four days, beginning on Saturday, September 26, from the Basilica Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes.

The group arrived at their destination on the morning of Tuesday, September 29, coinciding with the feast day of Saint Michael the Archangel. Participants reported that the trek was physically demanding due to intense sunlight and long distances, but they successfully reached the sanctuary around 10:00 a.m.

For the participants, the pilgrimage served as a spiritual exercise involving prayer and reflection for family and friends. One participant, Paulo Negrão, described the experience as a blessing and noted that the group maintained their schedule despite the physical exhaustion.
