Apucarana police arrest suspect in attempted murder

The Civil Police in Apucarana arrested a 25-year-old man suspected of involvement in an attempted murder that occurred on June 15, 2026. The incident took place in the Jardim América neighborhood when a victim, a 28-year-old man, was shot five times by an individual exiting a red vehicle.

According to Delegate André Garcia, the victim sustained hits to his face and shoulder but managed to flee and receive medical assistance. Investigations suggest the attack was motivated by a drug debt involving local traffickers. While one suspect is in custody, the individual identified as the shooter remains at large and is being sought by authorities.
