Apucarana proposes R$ 717 million budget for 2027

The City Hall of Apucarana has presented its proposed Annual Budget Law (LOA) for 2027, estimating revenues and expenses at approximately R$ 717.1 million. This figure represents a 5.84% increase compared to the current year's budget.

For the first time, the proposal includes a reserve of roughly R$ 2.7 million for mandatory parliamentary amendments from city councilors. During a public hearing, Mayor Rodolfo Mota noted that while the budget is growing, the city's capacity for new investments remains between 6% and 8%, which is lower than similar-sized municipalities that can allocate 10% to 25%.

Mota attributed this limited margin to mandatory expenditures, including payroll, health, education, and the settlement of inherited debts. He also highlighted the challenge of maintaining over 100 public buildings, noting that one-third are currently in poor condition due to historical lack of maintenance.
