Apucarana road reopening after eucalyptus removal

Rua Professora Talita Bresolin in central Apucarana has reopened to traffic following a complex operation to remove a large eucalyptus tree that posed an imminent risk of falling. The tree's structure was compromised during a severe storm on September 21, leading to root exposure and instability.

The road, specifically the section between Rua Erasto Gaertner and Rua Bandeirantes, had been closed since Saturday, September 17, as a preventive measure by the City Hall and Civil Defense. The closure affected four local businesses and required coordination with the energy company Copel to manage the electrical grid during the removal process.

Municipal teams from the departments of Environment, Public Services, Works, and Public Security worked alongside Copel to complete the high-complexity task ahead of schedule. In addition to the removal, crews performed preventive pruning on other trees near the Espaço das Feiras area.
