Apucarana truck collision causes power outage and hit-and-run

A truck driver fled the scene after colliding with an electrical pole in Apucarana, Paraná, early Sunday morning. The accident occurred on Rua Deolindo Massambani in the Parque Bela Vista neighborhood, causing a total power outage in the area.

The impact destroyed the pole and caused high-voltage cables to fall onto the street, creating significant risks of electric shock and traffic accidents. During the escape, the vehicle's cargo doors were left behind in the middle of the road.

Military Police arrived to isolate the area and block traffic to protect residents and motorists from the exposed wiring. Maintenance teams from Copel were called to repair the electrical network. Although police conducted searches in the region, the responsible truck had not been located by the end of the incident.
