Apulia Web Fest concludes eighth edition in Corato

The eighth edition of the Apulia Web Fest concluded in Corato, Italy, following three days of screenings and awards from September 11 to 13, 2026. The festival, which has grown to include over 220 entries from Europe, the Americas, and the Philippines, recognized works across various categories including web series, feature films, documentaries, and fiction podcasts.

In addition to technical excellence in cinematography and editing, the jury placed special emphasis on works addressing social themes such as sustainability, peace, and women's rights. The short film ‘The Last Straw’, produced by GDG Production and filmed between Calabria and Malta, won the Best Drama award. Directed by Gustavo Garrafa and written by Gabriele Kristian Faraca, the film explores themes of disability and personal resilience.
