Apure dental health campaign targets indigenous communities

A specialized dental health campaign has been deployed in the San Fernando municipality of Apure state, Venezuela. The initiative, organized through the Misión Sonrisa and the Integral Community Health Area (ASIC) José Natalio Estrada, specifically targets indigenous communities to ensure equitable access to oral healthcare.

The medical deployment was coordinated by the Ministry of Popular Power for Health (MinSalud) and regional health authorities. Multidisciplinary teams provided direct assistance to local indigenous residents, focusing on preventive and timely dental care.
