Aqib Talib and Ryan Fitzpatrick trade insults over Bo Nix critique

Former NFL cornerback Aqib Talib and analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick have engaged in a public dispute following Fitzpatrick’s criticism of Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix. During a Thursday Night Football broadcast, Fitzpatrick described Nix’s performance in a 17-14 overtime win against the Seahawks as “almost disrespectful to the quarterback position” and labeled his effort “garbage.”

Talib responded on his “Gridiron” podcast, defending Nix by attacking Fitzpatrick’s professional career. Talib criticized Fitzpatrick’s longevity across nine different teams and his statistical record, specifically noting his 19-35 record as a starter for the Buffalo Bills and his high interception count. Talib stated, “You are disrespectful to the quarterback position because you suck. Period.”

Fitzpatrick later addressed the tension on X by posting a video duet of Talib’s critique, jokingly claiming they had “worked thru our differences.”
