AquaChile and Blumar salmon operations featured in Magallanes

The television program ‘Agua Viva: El Futuro del Mar’ will feature a new episode dedicated to salmon farming operations in the Magallanes Region of Chile. The broadcast will showcase the processes and technologies used by companies AquaChile and Blumar to produce salmon under the extreme climatic conditions of southern Patagonia.

The episode will cover various stages of production, including the Hollenberg hatchery operated by AquaChile and the Caleta Juárez cultivation center. It will also highlight technological advancements such as the use of underwater robotics by Marine ROV to support operations in cultivation centers.

Additionally, the program will visit Puerto Natales to examine AquaChile’s community engagement initiatives, including its relationship with Kawésqar communities. The tour continues to the Punta Laura cultivation center in Skyring Sound with Blumar, illustrating the working conditions in one of Chile’s most remote locations.
