Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom concludes the DCEU era

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, directed by James Wan and starring Jason Momoa, serves as a final installment for the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) before a complete franchise reboot. The film follows Arthur Curry, the King of Atlantis, as he teams up with his half-brother Orm to face the vengeful Black Manta.

Despite a global box office return of approximately $435 million, the film's performance is viewed as modest relative to its estimated $210 million budget. Production was reportedly marked by industrial chaos, including extensive rewrites, delays, and reshoots. The film concludes with a post-credits scene featuring the character Orm.
