aquaRömer adopts G DATA MXDR to secure automated production IT

The family-owned mineral water company aquaRömer has implemented G DATA MXDR (Managed Extended Detection and Response) to protect its highly automated IT infrastructure from cyberattacks. The company utilizes digital systems to manage every stage of production, from the water source to final delivery.

Because production relies on automated systems to document mandatory regulatory checks, any IT failure could halt operations even if machinery remains functional. To address rising security requirements and strict industry regulations, aquaRömer selected the Bochum-based G DATA CyberDefense to provide 24/7 monitoring for both office workstations and production-related systems.

Dominik Schmidt, IT Manager at aquaRömer, stated that the solution provides significant relief for their small IT department by detecting, assessing, and prioritizing threats, ensuring continuous production availability.
