Aquismón Sports Complex Reopened After State-Led Renovation

The government of the Mexican state of San Luis Potosí completed a full rehabilitation of the Aquismón sports unit. The project, part of Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona’s public‑space recovery program, was carried out by the Secretariat of Urban Development, Housing and Public Works (Seduvop) under its head Isabel Leticia Vargas Tinajero.

Renovations included modernising football fields, installing new playground equipment, refurbishing bathrooms, rebuilding palapas and improving the main access route. The upgraded facilities are intended for children, youth and families in the Huasteca region. The hand‑over ceremony was attended by Senator Ruth González Silva and Aquismón municipal president Cuauhtémoc Balderas Yáñez, who highlighted the social impact of the new venue.
